Navigation Controls and General Editing

 
vPlanner provides various interface options to navigate the plan when using the network views.
 
 
Panning
 
  • Use key <CNTR> + left mouse button to pan with the mouse.  The cursor should change to the hand symbol.
 
  • Press and Hold the middle mouse button (or scroll wheel) and move the mouse to pan.
     
  • Use scroll bars on left and bottom of the plan windows to pan.  Scroll bar provide a good method of panning when in commitment view while using the Table layouts.
      
 
Zooming
 
  • Use the Menu/View (Zoom All, Zoom In, Zoom Out)
  • Use the toolbar zoom icons.
  • Use the mouse scroll wheel.
     
 
Select Multiple Tasks
 
  • Window select with the mouse.
  • Hold down the <CNTRL> key then click on tasks to add/remove from the selection. 
  • CNTR-A to select all.
     
 
Clear the Selection
 
  • Click on the white space to clear the selection.
  • Use the Edit Menu/Clear Selection.
  • Use the ESC key after a selection is made.
     
 
Split Screen Navigation
 
Split screen can be enabled from the main toolbar.  The main plan window can be used to create a context view based on the selected task and its neighbors.  Click on either plan window to give it focus then navigate as described above (see Main Interface).
 
 
Select/Move a Task
 
Click on a task to select it.  Then click/drag on the task to move it.
 
 
Create a Constraint
 
Make sure the source tasks are not selected.  Click and drag from the source task and release the mouse when it is over the target task.
