Subscription Manager

 
Note: This tool applies to projects that started since December 1st 2015.  Subscriptions that started prior to this date can be migrated to this elastic subscription model by contacting vPlannerSales@ghafari.com.
 

Overview

There are two main subscription options available under the elastic subscription model: Standard and Preferred. Each includes an estimated Deposit amount to start the subscription.  In each case, the subscription rates are calculated based on actual use of paid vPlanner features.  Actual use is determined based on the number of days a paid feature is enabled on the server. Parts of a day count as a full day.  Features that are enabled and disabled multiple times during the same day count as multiple days.
 
Paid features include the followings:
 
Projects
Projects host all vPlanner tasks and are required to control access of certain companies to certain plans. 
Components
Components represent structures or buildings and are required to track locations for activities including Floors, Elevations, and Zones.
Teams
A team is a required task attribute to track Percent Planned Complete (PPC) and to create and manage work plans.  Team are typically cross functional and can include users from multiple companies that are responsible for a certain phase of work.  For example rough-in or finishes.
Users
 
Basic
Are user accounts that may be configured to allow read-only access, status-only access, or limited edit access. 
Professional
Are user accounts that may be configured to manage all tasks assigned to that user’s company or to manage the tasks that are assigned to the team managed by that user regardless of company affiliation.
Premium
have full access to vPlanner features.
Production Tracker
This is an optional feature that can be enabled per project.  It enables the labor production tracking features of vPlanner to associate and report on labor and cost hours related to production activities.
 
The Subscription Manager is a tool within vPlanner that reports on actual use of paid features in a given Term.  It includes features to set spending limits and detailed day by date reports on actual use.

The original start date of the subscription.

The current subscription Term or the current subscription year proportional to the start of the subscription.

Cumulative  Deposit Amount  for the Term

The cumulative deposit amount since the start of the Term.  For quarterly subscriptions this amount will increase each time a deposit is made during a Term.

The highlighted quarter is the current quarter during the Term.

You can set spending limit amount so that vPlanner can display an alert when you approach the set limits.  vPlanner will not stop users from continuing to use the features if the limits are exceeded.  When you approach the limits, the cell background will orange.  When the limit is exceeded, the cell background will be Red.

Summary

The Actual Use Total is the amount spent to date.  The Remaining Deposit is the amount left in the total deposit for the term.  Actual Less Deposit will show the calculated overage when the actual use exceeds the current deposit. 
 
Note: vPlanner does not calculate actual use for any users under the vPlanner Support Company or any features under the Training project.  Those are included in all subscriptions free of charge.
