Archive Completed Tasks

(Premium Users)

This command will provide options to archive tasks that are completed a certain number of days before the current date.  Performing this command on a regular basis will reduce the overall size of the plan and will reduce the amount of data that vPlanner exchanges with the server.

Tasks will only be archived if they were completed prior than the user defined number of days and only if they do not have any successors that are completed pending or not completed. In other words, completed tasks that are connected to work in progress tasks will not be archived until all successors are completed.

When you select the archive command, vPlanner will first free all checked out tasks.  Run this command during off hours when no one is working in the plan.  It is strongly recommended that you verify that there are no checked out tasks prior to running the Archive command.  You may use Tools/Show All Checked Out tasks to find those tasks prior to running the archive command.
